Are You a Realtor and Struggling?
Consequences shape your future! What you did or did not do six months ago is evidence of your income
Consequences shape your future! What you did or did not do six months ago, 12 months ago or however long you have been a Realtor- where you are today in income, clients, and well-being- is the evidence.
One of my favourite passages that Steven Pressfield wrote in his book “The War of Art,” which I will now butcher:
We don’t tell ourselves, “I’m never going to earn $150,000 in real estate commissions”; instead, we say, “I’m going to earn $150,000 in real estate commissions; I’m just going to start tomorrow!”
Or, next week.
Income equals what you give; if your commissions are average, you are only giving average.
I see Realtors busting their butts, working unnecessary hours and giving their life energy away in their real estate busyness. They may be giving to the wrong people or think they are giving value which buyers and sellers can't see or don't want.
When opportunity knocks at the front door, most people slip out the back door because they are not ready to face the truth and as Robert M Pirsig wrote:
“It’s a puzzling thing, the truth knocks on the door & you say, ‘go away, I’m looking for the truth,’ and truth does what you just asked it to do, it goes away!”
I have written hundreds of articles on how Realtors can improve their career financially and time management-wise. Remember, the only competition you have as a Realtor is yourself!
