How Much Do You Value Opinions From Others?

Most will say they value opinions from those they perceive as knowing what they are talking about, or from their boss, spouse, teacher, mentor, lawyer, realtor, guru, priest, rabbi, minister, or hairdresser.

I quote Marcus Aurelius: "The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them knows anything about the subject".

Mr. Aurelius would really struggle right now, as we all do, because now we have access to millions of opinions from influencers, AI, Dr. Google, the latest diet or fitness fad, room colour folks, and sports analysts.

I have left out thousands of other opinionators because my opinion doesn't matter.

And then, there is the herd mentality, and someone thinks: "that's what everybody else is saying, so it must be true". Or, that's what all the headlines are, be it TV, newspapers or Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linked-In.

I could argue for common sense because, according to Mark Twain, there is alot of common sense because very few people use it!
